Introduction to Councils

Formal recruitment for the Interfraternity and Panhellenic councils occurs each August. To see how you can participate in the recruitment process, please visit the Interfraternity Council or Panhellenic Council page. 

Neither council hosts a formal recruitment period in the spring semester. Chapters wishing to accept new members do so through their own recruitment process provided it follows all Greek Life and LSU policies and procedures.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council does not facilitate a formal recruitment period. Each  chapter conducts its own new member education period known as intake. To learn about how you can become a member of an NPHC chapter, please visit the National Pan-Hellenic Council page at the link above.
